2011 Fun Day:

In 2011 an organising committee put on a fun day for the whole village to enjoy.

Unfortunately the wet weather interrupted everyones outdoor fun, the focus of the day being a football match between Sunny's former team, Radford FC, resplendent in their new black and yellow strip, chosen by the players and supplied by Memorial Fund, and featuring an 'SD9' logo. Their opponents were Radford Albion with many cameo appearances by a large number of old has-beens players, who probably struggled to move the following day! Prior to the kick-off Narinder placed Sunny’s boots and No.9 football shirt in the centre circle where both teams and spectators remembered Sunny’s life with a minute’s applause. The evenings entertainment kicked off with an auction of the Radford FC players followed by live entertainment by The Likely Lads. A substantial amount of money was raised last year which Narinder and Nick want to be distributed amongst childrens organisations within the village.

Come Dine With Nind:

In November 2011, we closed the year's fundraising by transforming the Community Hall into an Indian restaurant.

After gruelling 2 days cooking tasty 3 course meal, Narinder was let off duty to mingle amongst the guests while Carol Formosa and Gurjit Ghag served from the kitchen. Waitress service was provided by Aman Ghag, Munroop Ghag and Sarah Formosa. A huge success, £350 was added to the fund while Narinder could be heard for days after muttering "Never again". We are still working on her for this year!

2012 Fun Day:

Last year an organising committee put on a fun day for the whole village to enjoy in aid of the Sunny Dhillon memorial fund.

The focus of the day didnt put pressure on the football match of Sunny's former team, as Radford FC worked hard to defend their title as 'The Sunny Dhillon Memorial Cup' champions  as they wore their 'SD9' logo with pride. Prior to the kick-off Narinder placed Sunny’s boots and No.9 football shirt in the centre circle where both teams and spectators remembered Sunny’s life with a minute’s silence. The evenings entertainment kicked off with an emotional speech by narinder. Then went on to raise alot of money by a grand prize raffle of donated prizes and experiences in which villagers of radford semele stood by and enjoyed the draw. A substantial amount of money was raised last year which Narinder and Nick want to be put towards a new children play area that will be enjoyed by all children (maybe some adults) in the village.

2013 Fun Day:

This year the organising committee put on a fun day for the whole village to enjoy in aid of the Sunny Dhillon memorial fund's project of a new village play area.

There was fun filled activities on throughout the day ranging from the 11am Fun Run to the 5pm traditional baloon release. This year the organising committee pulled out all of the stops to put on amazing performacnes and demonstrations for the people of Radford Semele. We were joined by 'GKR' who put on an amazing karate demonstration and maypole dancers who  put on wonderful performances. As usual we were joined by our village drama group Stagecraft Youth Group who gave the audience a few dance numbers that were in their upcoming show. The days entertainment of live music and commentry of events really freshened up the whole experience of the day. Near the end of the day we went on to raise alot of money by a grand raffle which is getting bigger and more popular every year. A substantial amount of money was raised this year which is contributing to the new children's play area.
